The Ravenshoe Torimba Festival returns for its 58th year from 10 to 24 October 2026. Under this year’s theme, Your Story, Your Stage, the town of Ravenshoe on the Atherton Tablelands hosts two weeks of community events, from markets and music to sport, trivia and a gala ball.

The highlight is Parade Day on Saturday 17 October, when Grigg Street, Ravenshoe’s main street, fills with market stalls, food, live music, kids activities and the Torimba Street Parade, finishing with fireworks at 8pm.

Torimba is run by the Torimba Cultural & Festival Association, and every visitor helps support a small country community. As the locals say, come up the hill and join in.

Torimba Festival questions

We’re driving up for the parade. When should we get there?

Aim to be parked before 12:30pm, when the soft road closure on Grigg Street begins. The full closure starts at 1:30pm, live music at 1:45pm and the street parade at 2:30pm, so arriving early gives you time to find a spot and explore the stalls.

We have young kids. What will they enjoy most?

Parade Day is made for families. Look out for the kids activities, the colouring competition winners at 3:30pm, the lolly explosion at 4:30pm, and the toad races, old-fashioned games and amusement rides from 4:30pm.

We can only make one night. Which evening is best?

For the full festival atmosphere, choose Saturday 17 October and stay for the truck pull at 6:15pm and the fireworks at 8pm. If you prefer a social night out, try the Quiz Night on Tuesday 13 October, the Hoedown on Friday 16 October, Bumper Bingo on Wednesday 21 October or the Gala Ball on Saturday 24 October.

Is anything on the day after the parade?

Yes. Ravenshoe Bowls Club hosts a BBQ lunch and barefoot bowls from 12:30pm on Sunday 18 October, a relaxed way to round off the weekend.

How do I find out about tickets, entries or the Gala Ball?

Contact the festival organisers directly through the official Torimba Festival website or by email at [email protected].

We’d like to make a weekend of it. Where can we stay?

Ravenshoe is an easy base for exploring the southern Atherton Tablelands. See our guide to where to stay on the Atherton Tablelands to find accommodation for the festival weekend.
